WW

yuk ...so over it...so like how is it possible to lose 1/2 kilo then out on 1/2 kilo then lose 200 grams then put on 300 grams...all to get you back at exactly the same spot you started in what feels like 3 gazillion years ago. Now I had fun eating the dreamy donuts - kind of - but now I am definitely not having approaching fun...at all.

For my regular readers ( HAHAHAHAHAHAH) I am off on holidays for the next week...so no blogging.

no picture becasue welll its tooooooooooo late in the evening

my day...

so like why is it some days are like totally "sheesh"...that was my day today. Morning started being too lazy to get up and go to the gym, followed by hitting the snooze button repeatedly until I am running late, which then means the following things happen

  1. have to quickly decide what to wear

  2. have to quickly look on end of bed and ironing basket to see what is available

  3. decide neither items i select need ironing , say to myself that I'll be wearing a jacket all day, so wrinkles won;t be noticed and surely any wrinkles that are there I can 'steam iron" by hanging them in the bathroom when I\m having my super hot shower.

  4. makeup is a mess

  5. hair is a definite mess

  6. rush out the door

  7. forget to put earrings in

  8. forget to get phone off charger

  9. starving because I haven't had breakfast, unless you class the 2 weight watchers lamingtons I shoved in ( for those counting, that is only 2 points)

  10. and that my friends all occurred between 7.15 and 7.50 when i walked up the steps at work, to find the staffroom locked...as i said at the outset.SHEESH

mowing

...so this afternoon I get home from work and think - gee I have half and hour before I need to head off to Pilates so I might mow the yard, which normally takes like 15 minutes - plenty of time in my mind! HA Apparently not, especially when the mowing kept conking out because the grass was too thick or wet or something...what is with that. But I soldiered on , and let me say that mowing is actually good exercise I think because I managed to work up a sweat, what with all the pulling on the cord to get the stupid thing started! and then when you factor in the trips to the rubbish bag to empty the catcher...but still I went to pilates. I love hearing the pilates teacher in her German accent saying...now focus on your ties... she means focus on your thighs, and today we also had to imagine we were holding ice tubes...ie ice cubes... it all makes we vant to chuckle...hhahahhaaahhaa.. in the style of the count from sesame street. And just to finish off my rant about mowing, let me say that I so don't like this time of the year at work - who invented marking, and why do I have to do it/ why oh why...

...it's cold...

brrrrr...chilly Brisbane weather today, which prompted me to wear one of my fav winter ensembles, boots and a skirt. The skirt is very cute and is what dad bought me yesterday ...once again thanks dad...boots are an ol fav. Also can I say I am loving scarves - I always have been a bit of a winter scarf wearer - which has put me in a bit of a spin because now everyone is wearing them and well I have to try and work out some new ways to tie them...can you believe the stuff I have to ponder in my life...sheesh :)

weekender

so as stated in a previous post this weekend was spent down the coast - which was absolutely lovely. this is a pic of me and my dad - taken by my jojo. there is a hint of the new fringe but let me say that i normally don't part it in the middle like that ...it was windy! So this weekend was a little weird as it the first time we have all been away without mum - and well on Saturday morning as I was driving down I was happily singing along to the waifs, when i rounded the corner at kirra ,s aw the water and burst into tears - completely randomly. They were my only tears for the weekend though - we went to the markets today at Coolangatta _ where the photo is taken - and then we went to Pac Fair - and managed to not only to bore dad to death ( he told us!!) , but also managed to get him to by us some 'stuff' thanks DAD!!!! I also saw the cutest cutest ciutest baby girl thing ever - and since we have a friend who is currently pregga's Jo really wanted me to buy said cute thing - but you know I couldna - so hopefully it is a girl - in around 20 weeks then the shop will still have them...hopefully

ahhhhhhh its friday again

did it come around quickly or not? I cannot seem to decide, as as I have mentioned in a previous post time this week for me has been elusive...one minute the whole day is looming ahead of me in all of its glorious form - the next is over - and not much of note has happened. Perhaps the weird time thing will continue this weekend when I am down the coast - I have a feeling though that it will once again be gone before I know it - and the alarm clock will be tweeting and gurgling at me ( seriously that is my alarm sound - it is called 'sunrise - I just got so sick of beep beep beep and thought it was such a harsh way to start the morning) - announcing that it is 5.30 and time for abs, butts and thighs...maybe a run on the beach weekend will be nice. Surely I will have some glorious photos of my weekend sojourn...stay tuned

time where does it go?

how is that the more available time I have at work the less I get done? Is there some weird sort of black hole that spare time gets sucked in to? Today at work - I literally only had 70 minutes that were locked in - non negotiable - that meant I had whole lotta minutes available to use productively...did I? methinks not - so let me outline and you the reader decide...no only joking as if I would outline every minute of my boring laborious time wasting day...I just want to say If you happen to find 210 spare minutes in your day - can you please send them my way and I will see what I can do to suck em up for ya!!!

three swipes and you're out

so like I've had a fringe cut into my hair. I think there is still a lot of debate about to fringe or not to fringe because the thing is once you cut it in - it takes a looooooongg time to grow it out! so I've had it cut in - and let me say I am happy with the decision - now if i could just work on improving my hair straightening skills everything in the hair world would be grand!!!

on another note - I have added a screen for some of my fav 'you tube'. I am still trying to work out where to place it properly , so until then make sure you scroll down and check out this weeks fav...it's an oldie but a goodie and it always makes me smile

so Monday has arrived

and nearly gone again already. Time does just seem to fly. I started my day with a trip to the gym for a 6am class and I'm going again tonight - sometimes ya just gotta get back into the swing of things!

I must say I saw SATC - the movie on Saturday night and although I was 'iffy' with the first 20 minutes - on reflection I really did like it! I may even go and see it again to just pick up those tiny nuances that you miss with the first viewing...if there are any. I'm not one of those people that can pick up bloopers easily - so I don't really know what I will be looking for. I have read other blogs where people said they didn't see what all the fuss was about - with SATC - but I have always been a fan of the show - and have cried and have laughed and have though 'what the' with some of the outfits - so I definitely think the fuss is worth it. Maybe its because - in the words of another great movie - Bridget Jones dairy - I am a singleton, but that is a whole other blog...all in all I am totally happy to get "carried" away....

ahh the weekend

isn't it grand...the feeling on Friday afternoons when you know a whole 2 days are looming full of potential...just what might happen? ...lunch with family..movies with friends...sundaes and hot chocolates... and then the reality of Sunday seems to visit all too quickly and I wistfully sigh that tomorrow it is back to the grind ( although on most days I do love my job - really) The reality of Sundays is sometimes so blah...it's the washing, it's the vacuuming, it's the tidying up after a week full of household neglect...it's the grocery shopping. I love the satisfying feeling of putting the last load of washing on - the laundry basket is empty - and then pop in go the clothes that you're wearing, and the cycle starts again. aaaaaaaahhhhhhh hope Friday comes quickly.

what is with...

everyone else in the world having all of the totally fabulous blog names i thought of! how could that be? Hence there is a difference between the name of the blog and the address. I've been thinking of what to call my new blog for weeks...and who would have thunk that sheesh was taken...and methinks...and mayhaps...Grrrrrrrrr.
