I have been slack and have not taken any photos of my daily happenings for days now - perhaps I photo'd myself out on my holidays...

a decade apart

I am not a huge fan of NYE generally speaking. I think it is overrated and ever since I spent NYE down the coast at 18 and had to queue for hours to get a bus home and then had to sit with my feet up because there was a person on the bus with the spills, I definitely don't like going out and relying on getting home with hundreds of other drunky mcdrunks. Since I did spend NYE in NYC this year I thought it would be appropriate to consider what I did a decade ago, 1999. I also travelled...

and this year

I definitely like NYE when I am with friends and family, and not having to ride with my feet up.





PS What do you think of the short hair I am sporting in 1999 - should I chop?

We often have a discussion in my staffroom about what you need to do to say that you have 'lived' somewhere - we think that if you have done laundry then you can say you lived there. According to this rule - this is me living in San Fran...

home again home again

have made it home in one piece, semi recovered from jet lag and the terrible sinus problem I had. Have returned to work, the gym, and the day in day out routines of everyday life. I am pretty sure that at some stage over the coming months I will bore you to death with holiday photos - I can sense your anticipation already.

Don't forget to check out my list on the right hand side - of things I would like to achieve this year. I think I can cross some of them off already...

have landed again

back at the same place as my last post - love their free internet. The past week has flown by. NYC was fantastic as usual. I still heart it, and without a doubt will venture back at some stage... the week was full of adventures probably too many to remember...like
*our private tour being conducted in -20 degree celsius weather. I am not even kidding!
*outr hotel having no lift - and seriously being on the top floor is not always an advantage
*having to wear so many layers...layer upon layer upon layer. I didn't wear my long johns ytoday and quite literally my legs nearly snapped off. They were so cold that I 'allowed' my sister and I to get a cab back to the hotel - this is unheard of.
*I saw a rat in the subway - it was going to take me on. it was one on one, but then the rest of my posse arrived and it waddled down the satirs. The funny aprt of this was that i was hopping about going arrgghhh...ohhhh...and my sister thought it was about the hardcore porn magazine that was laying around on the subway... it took her awhile to notice the rat

Dad has been quite funny, and on the flight today said that he would like to go back to NYC - just not when it is so cold...
