This is seriously a very important issue to me - it involves toilet paper! It simply does my head in when the toilet paper is not on the roller with the paper coming from the top. My housemate is oh so nonchalant about this (in that I don't think it bothers her one way or another) - but as I said it does me head in :( See there is a reason for putting the toilet paper on the roll and it is simply so that when you go to the toilet in the middle of the night with no lights on - you can always find the toilet paper end - you don"t have to spin it aimlessly for ages and then realise that there is a whole heap of toilet paper on the floor. Now just in case my housemate reads this - it is by no way an indictment on them ( well maybe just a little :) ) has anyone ever noticed the toilet paper thing before and do you get annoyed by it? Please let me know that i don"t live in a little toilet paper worry world by myself...

I can not only tell you that I, personally find this extremely annoying but that I have heard senior personages yelling out for this wrong to be righted.
Can I add that what is more annoying is when one will knowingly use the last square with the awareness that there are NO more rolls in the bathroom...will walk away.

Chemistgirl clearly you have never had to experience the intolerable inconvenience of having to locate the beginning of the roll...becoz your flatmate always ensures it is neatly folded (motel-style) for your pleasure.
I'm just happy that the toilet is inside the house these days unlike back when we used to have to go outside and up the end of the alotment completely in the dark! Now that was kind of annoying and bloody scaring - was there toilet paper on a roll back then - can't remember?
