This morning I was dressed and ready for work and then I thought " mmmmmm this top I'm wearing feels very hot", so with barely 2 minutes til departure time I decided to cut the lining out of the top - which seemed easy at first but then really wasn't something that should be rushed. My housemate and I were in fits of giggles at the absolute ridiculousness of the whole thing. But let me just say that I was a lot cooler today sans polyester lining ( what is with that anyway) Of course I used 'the good green scissors" which have been in our family for a gazillion years - we actually stole them from mum and dads a few years ago and I don't think we have been forgiven as every time dad sees them he says something along the lines of " oh the good green scissors I've been wandering where they are".

Given that I have never worn anything with lining...my understanding is that usually the lining is built in for modesty reasons...so do you feel you were able to be modest ?
Also, was the aforementioned flatmate assisting you to remove the lining or paying out on you ?
Wise move - I was shopping for a special dress the other day and anything made of polyester was not considered. Bet you were much cooler:)
it was much much cooler because it's just a cotton top - and i didn't even have modesty to worry about
the said house mate was not paying out at all......... the houase mate was trying to help aith a lot of laughing
I think I've seen those "Good Green Scissors" before, actually I may have used them recently. Well I couldn't tell your top had been on the receiving end of 2 giggle-pusses that morning so good job !
